At DDB Worldwide, Shannon was Manager, Corporate Public Relations, and was responsible for fielding press inquiries and writing and issuing press releases about DDB and its parent company, Omnicom Group, Inc.; edited the company newsletter; supported regional and digital public affairs teams; and planned conferences, programs, and events.

At Condé Nast, she worked on the communications team within the corporate human resources department to write and distribute executive communications and press releases, and she also managed the day-to-day operations of the corporate intranet. In addition, Shannon worked to develop and deliver training curriculum for the 50-person HR staff.
