Executive Education

At DDB Worldwide, Shannon worked as Communications and Development Planner for DDB University (DDBU), the global advertising agency network’s executive education, leadership development and talent management group.  She created a strategy for the internal marketing of the program to 200+ agencies in 99 countries — many of whom had joined the network through acquisition and had previously been a local, hot, independent “shop,” vs. part of a multinational organization.

In addition, she was on the team who developed DDB Connect, the agency’s first web-based, global intranet and knowledge sharing tool. After the project was launched, Shannon was named Editor-in-Chief and was responsible for managing the day-to-day editorial/content management and user support. Connect was both an early social network designed to humanize and bind people around the world who had skills and clients in common, and was also a second-generation knowledge management tool where case studies were posted for distribution.

Shannon returned to the executive education space for a digital content curation role at Harvard Business Publishing in the Corporate Learning unit where she curated content across their online learning products and platforms and led the content side of product development for LeadingEdge. Here is an article that Shannon wrote for the HBP blog on the project: Leaders at All Levels Means Learning Content for All Levels.
